1). You will need an email software that can send out mass email lists. The software that you will need for effective email marketing should also be able to send out emails without using your Internet service provider's (ISP's) mail server. The software that you should use for email marketing should be able to save its self incase of a crash on your computer so that you can easily resume where you stopped when you come back. If the software that you are using does not save where the mailing stopped during a crash or during and unexpected restart by your computer, it will be a disaster for your marketing campaign. That's because you can't easily start from the begining since sending emails more than once to the same person within a day is like asking for trouble. People will get irritated and more prone to complain if you resend to the whole list and end up mailing to several thousands of people twice. So its vital that the email software you are using has a self save mechanising. We will also recommend a good software that does this at the end of this document. The email software that you need for mass email marketing should be able to send at least 50,000 emails per hour to help you get done in a reasonable time if you are sending out a huge campaign. You won't want to endup with an email software that is very slow even when you have a high speed connection. A huge number of people now have high speed connection so it will only make sense to have a software that is up to date and uses the high speed technology that you are already paying for to your ISP.
The software that you will need should be able to send either HTML creative ad or a Text creative ad so that you can easily send out an HTML ad message or just text message when you want.

2). About putting together a creative Ad/Ad message for your email campaign. You just need an HTML editor like microsoft frontpage or Microsoft publisher or any other editors that will generate the underlying HTML code for you as you paste your images and type and color your text in the ad. If you can't get any of these, try using microsoft word.
